Why do I need to hire a professional makeup artist for my wedding or event?
You're hiring a professional for your pictures, a professional for your cake, a professional for your flowers, and a professional for your hair, so why wouldn't you hire a professional for your makeup, too? A professional makeup artist not only ensures that your makeup will last all day and night, but that it will photograph beautifully. Your pictures are going to last a lifetime, and you want to make sure that your makeup looks flawless, and an experienced professional knows just how to do that.
How long have you been a makeup artist?
I received my Professional Certification in Makeup Artistry in 2013 and have been working as a Professional Makeup Artist since then. I am not just someone that does trendy makeup or the instagram makeup thats going around right now. I also specialize in traditional bridal looks and a natural glam!
What brands of makeup do you use?
Let me say....
I am not a MAC makeup artist, I do not have a kit full of MAC only products
Mac is not the only brand of makeup out. I use a variety of many brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Mehron, Cover Fx, Lorac, Urban Decay, Bobbi Brown, MUD, Inglot, Kett and more.
As far as makeup services, do you only offer full face makeup application?
Lets clarify, I DO NOT offer “eye makeup only” services. I only offer full face makeup application, which includes:
Face primer and liquid, cream or airbrush foundation
Eye primer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, false lashes
Concealer (blemishes, scars, and under eye)
Lip liner and lip color
Highlighter, bronzer, and blush
Makeup setting spray
Do you recommend we do a bridal trial?
Trials are a must for all brides. It would be stressful for the bride (and the artist) the day of your wedding and having a miscommunication between the look that you want and the look that your artist creates. This is why we do a trial.
We like to schedule your trial 3 to 4 months prior to your wedding day. At the trial, we will discuss the details of your wedding, including your gown, flowers, theme, colors, bridesmaids dresses, hair, etc. All of these tie into your overall makeup look. Then we will go over the specifics of the look you have in mind. Photos of makeup looks that you like, or don't like, are always welcome, and will definitely help to communicate ideas between you and the artist. Any skincare issues or allergies that you may have will also be addressed.
You can just use my makeup RIGHT?
We bring everything you will need so all you need to bring is yourself! We are trained and experienced in color matching every client to the right foundation shade, so you get that perfect match each and every time. Our professional products are also flash photography friendly, so you never have to worry about how your pictures will turn out. Also, our client's safety is the most important to us. We follow all proper sanitation procedures prior to and during every makeup application. By using only our products, we can ensure the safety of our clients and artists.
Do you offer air-brush makeup services?
Yes I do offer airbrush makeup services. Although I do love the traditional process of makeup application. On your wedding day and special events in my opinion airbrush makeup will last the entire day with few touch ups. Airbrush is the way to go on your special day!
Do I need to supply my own makeup and false lashes?
No you don’t, I provide EVERYTHING for my clients. That's what you are paying me for! I have a makeup kit full of everything that I bring to each and every session. I do not have the privilege of meeting each client before a session, so I come prepared with a spectrum of foundation and concealer colors for my combination/oily skin, normal/dry skin, and acned skin. If you have an absolute favorite product that you own and would like me to use, I have no problem using it! I love false lashes, I feel as so it brings the entire look together that and brows! 95% of my clients ask for or get talked into wearing them, so I provide them at every session. Lashes come in so many different styles form natural, barely there styles as well as more dramatic styles.
How long will my makeup last? Will it come off easily and will I need to touch-up?
If you are not going swimming or picking at your face, and rubbing it then NO, your makeup won’t last past the first hour or two. With normal, daily activity, your makeup applications should last for 8 to 12 hours. The only thing that will need touching up would be your lips and I will provide you with a lip touch up kit.
What forms of payment do you except?
Cash or debit/credit card invoices through square reader. I DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS. I get inquiries several times a week, so the sooner you book and secure your date the better. I have had clients book a year or six months in advance. I look forward to hearing from you!
Do you require a deposit to hold my date and do you give refunds?
Yes I require a retainer fee its a deposit! Your retainer fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable all sales are final. I do not hold regular session or wedding dates without a retainer fee. Weddings require a 50% deposit it's due at the time of booking with signed wedding agreement. If the appointment is held, the 50% deposit is included towards your total cost. The remaining balance is due on the wedding date. Regular session/event require a 20% deposit, remaining of the balance is due day of event. Cancellations must be made Three (3) days prior to your reserved date or you will be responsible for the amount of services agreed upon in your contract. The best thing for everyone is to keep things on track and running smoothly!
Do you offer hair styling services?
No we do not offer hair styling services but I have worked with many hairstylist and can recommend one to you!
